THE WOMAN BEHIND THE STORY

Meet Lara.

Lara Solovay's story begins in Brooklyn, New York. Born in 1973 and raised in a Jewish family, she briefly attended a Yeshiva school and grew up describing her early life as one shaped by tension, searching and a need to build emotional walls.

A LIFE OF MANY CHAPTERS

Before the light came.

Lara writes openly about the many directions her life took. She graduated from F.I.T., created her own clothing, and had a clothing line on consignment in stores. She later became a personal trainer and explored a life filled with creativity, travel, relationships and spiritual searching.

Her story then moves toward a profound change in her understanding of faith. The book follows her growing relationship with Jesus Christ, her experiences in church and her belief that healing is not meant to become a private victory — it is meant to help hurting people.

THE STORY

When survival becomes a prison.

Lara's memoir does not begin with an easy victory. It moves through painful memories, relationships, fear, spiritual conflict and seasons when darkness felt overwhelming. The author describes learning to protect herself by building walls — and later discovering that protection alone was not the same as freedom.

“Real strength isn't just keeping people out — it's letting light in.”LARA SOLOVAY • THE MESSAGE

THE MESSAGE

Darkness cannot stay where there is light.

A central theme running through Lara's story is the contrast between darkness and light. Her own writing connects that contrast to faith, love, surrender and the decision to move forward rather than remain trapped by what came before.
